Troy’s younger brother Dayle is a freshman at Troy’s school. He’s a rising star on the wrestling team, who, like his dad, is disciplined and driven to win. Younger when his mom died, he’s weathered her loss better than Troy. There’s tension between Troy and Dayle because Troy thinks their dad likes Dayle more. This has amplified Troy’s sense of alienation.

In the first season…

Troy’s newfound musical talent and rising social status will threaten Dayle’s position of golden boy at home. His anger will culminate in a brutal battle with Troy.
